When preparing for your visit to the Blue Swallow, there are a few things to keep in mind:
–Check-in time is between 3:00pm and 10:00pm, Mountain time. If you arrive early, stop by. If your room is ready, we will be happy to check you in. If you will be arriving after closing, please let us know, and we can arrange for a late arrival.
–Check-out time is 10:00am. If a late checkout is desired, please let us know.
–Nancy and Kevin need their beauty sleep! Please try not to call after 10:00pm, or before 6:30am. Your consideration is greatly appreciated!
–All rooms are strictly non-smoking. It’s one way we are able to keep the rooms fresh and clean. Charges of up to $150 may be assessed for smoking in the rooms, so please take advantage of the sitting areas and ashtrays provided outside your room if you need to smoke.
–Our dog’s names are Boomer (with a blue collar) and Bessie (with a red collar). They are Golden Retrievers and are very friendly. They greet everyone who arrives at the Blue Swallow. If you don’t like dogs, just let us know, and we will try to keep them from tearing your arm off.
–If you bring a pet guest, please clean up after him or her. We try to keep the rooms and grounds very clean and appreciate your help. Additional charges for cleaning or repairs may apply if damage results from a pet’s (or any guest’s) visit.
–We have a wide variety of children’s books, and many games such as Apples to Apples, Sequence, Rummikub, Farkle, Racko, among others. Please see Kevin or Nancy if you’d like to borrow any of them.
–Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available in our lobby from 6:30-9:00 am. For travelers from the UK, we have a couple English teas available, and we will be happy to put a kettle on for you!
If there are any questions you have, please do not hesitate to ask us! We will share any and all information we can regarding Tucumcari, Route 66, good places to eat, the weather, our favorite color, etc.
